Capcom Bowling DescriptionThis top-down view bowling game allows up to four players to compete. The trackball controls the aim and power of your throw and two buttons control the left and right hook respectively. There are graphic displays of turkeys, splits, gutters etc. and the game keeps track of scoring and high scores.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationWhile the vast majority of Capcom Bowling cabinets are conversions, a dedicated cabinet was produced in very small quantities. The cabinet was made from birch plywood and featured larger, painted on side art. The dedicated control panel contained a larger marbled trackball and a different overlay. All the dedicated cabinets were shipped with a ticket dispenser door althtough the dispenser itself was optional.ConversionA conversion to Bowl-O-Rama, by Exit Entertainment requires two EPROM changes (game and sound) and the installation of a small "turbo board". This modification allows up to five players and features a choice of Flash-O-Matic and Black Jack in addition to regulation bowling. The upgrade also features many new animations.Game IntroductionThere is a similar version of the game called Coors Light Bowling that has slightly different graphics. The machine can be setup to dispense tickets and also has an option to display 'Risque graphics'.MiscellaneousLICENSOR: Incredible TechnologiesVAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Common - There are 68 known instances of Capcom Bowling owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 17 of them are original dedicated machines, 29 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 22 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - We currently do not know of any VAPS members that have gotten around to adding this game to their wish list. The wish-list system is fairly new (not all VAPS members have filled one out) and there are probably a number of collectors who might purchase this game if offered one at the right price. For Sale - There are 3 VAPS members with Capcom Bowling machines for sale. There are 3 VAPS members with extra Capcom Bowling circuit boards for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaAbout the first 1000 boards were silkscreened with the game's working title Beer Frame Bowling. The game was never released under that title, though, due to the distribution deal made with Capcom.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Capcom Bowling Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Capcom.
