Double Donkey Kong DescriptionSelect and play one of two classic platform games in the series. The game uses only a single board set.Know anything more about this game? Game IntroductionThis game uses a modified Donkey Kong Junior boardset that plays both Donkey Kong Junior and Donkey Kong on a single PCB set. No special wiring is required and no special switches are needed! Toggle between the games by simply pressing both the player-one and player-two start buttons at the same time. Of these, 13 of them are original dedicated machines, 3 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and it is a set of circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There is one VAPS member currently looking for Double Donkey Kong. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. TechnicalThe PCB can easily be configured to power-up in either Donkey Kong mode or Donkey Kong Junior mode by moving a single jumper.TriviaThe Donkey Kong walking and jumping sounds have a slightly higher pitch than the original game and the pounding sound during the introduction of the game is slightly distorted.
