Electric Yo-Yo, The DescriptionYou play a Yo-Yo whose job is to collect all the dots on a level while avoiding enemies. Certain dots make you immune to attack from the smaller enemies, but not the main enemy.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThe game comes in a generic Taito cabinet that is brown on yellow. The marquee, monitor bezel art and control panel all have the Yo-Yo theme.ConversionThe game uses the same boardset as Qix but has the addition of a coin processor board to prevent ROM swaps. A ROM hack exists to make the game run without the coin processor board, so there is a possibility that a conversion could be a straight ROM swap. Other games that run on nearly identical hardware are Zoo Keeper, Space Dungeon and Kram.Game PlayCollect all the dots on a level while avoiding enemies. The dots are placed on the playfield in patterns that change from round to round. You move from dot to dot by moving the joystick in the direction you wish to go, which shoots out your Yo-Yo string which grabs onto the next dot in your line of fire. If you try to move in a direction where there is no dot to grab, you end up moving only a little bit. Certain dots sparkle and if you grab those dots you become immune from attack by the smaller enemies, but not the main enemy.CAPS/VAPS Arcade CensusThere are 6,485 members of the Classic Arcade Preservation Society / Video Arcade Preservation Society, 3,728 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale. FixesIf the original NiCad battery is still on the PCB, remove it and replace it with a 3.6v rechargable, mounted away the board. The 4116 video RAM ICs often fail and since they are becoming hard to find, they can be replaced with modified 4164's.Manuals
