Space Dungeon DescriptionPiloting a pie-shaped spacecraft, you must move from sector to sector collecting treasure while avoiding enemies and corner-mounted lasers. The more treasure you have with you the higher your bonus when you reach the goal. A "thief" roams the sectors collecting treasure at the same time, but shooting the thief causes him to drop all his treasure.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThe dedicated version comes in a standard Taito cabinet with generic "Taito" side art, but the coloring is blue on black, matching the rest of the cabinet.ConversionThe game uses the same boardset as Qix but has the addition of a coin processor board to prevent ROM swaps. A ROM hack exists to make the game run without the coin processor board, so there is a possibility that a conversion could be a straight ROM swap. Other games that run on nearly identical hardware are Zoo Keeper, The Electric Yo-Yo and Kram.Game PlayThe game plays similar to Robotron: 2084 and Smash TV. The controls are the same and you can move from sector to sector by consulting a map. Most of the enemies are killed with one hit, but one type of enemy requires a direct hit to the center. This character is pie-shaped with a "piece" missing. You can shoot off other pieces a couple hits at a time to make hitting the center easier.CAPS/VAPS Arcade CensusThere are 6,477 members of the Classic Arcade Preservation Society / Video Arcade Preservation Society, 3,719 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale. TechnicalIf the original NiCad battery is still on the PCB, remove it and replace it with a 3.6v rechargable, mounted away the board. The 4116 video RAM ICs often fail and since they are becoming hard to find, they can be replaced with modified 4164's.Manuals
