Game Introduction

Since this system uses the Quantum 3-D PC, it can run many first-person PC shooters (arcade versions). Heavy Gear II, Beachhead 2000, Incoming and Sin have already been adapted, but additional games are currently in development.

Game Play

When the player turns (thus turning the visor), the game character turns (360 degrees). The right thumb button moves forward, the left thumb button moves backward, and the trigger buttons fire the weapon.

Cabinet Information

In short, the game is like Virtual Combat, with a much better look. The VR Vortek II has a smaller footprint and includes most of the features of the Vortek Classic (also from Global VR). Recommended for arcades with lower budgets and less floor space.

The use of a boom-mounted display allows unattended Virtual Reality, instinctive controls for experts and beginners, real-time response and accurate targeting. It has four degrees of freedom and 360 degree rotation.

The autofocus visor is moved by the player's hand controls and there is no contact with hair, eyes, or face, so there are no sanitation issues. It has the industry's best resolution for a VR-arcade headset (640x480) and the largest field of view. The player can play with eyeglasses, bifocals or sunglasses.

Conversion

Although from the outside this game looks like Virtual Combat, one can not be converted to the other.
