Cabal DescriptionViewed from behind, you stand behind a wall for shielding and must fend off attacking troops and tanks etc. using your gun and grenades. At the end of each level, all the buildings collapse and you run off up the road to the next stage.Know anything more about this game? Game PlayAlmost anything can be destroyed if you fire enough bullets or grenades at the objects. Some of the power-up weapons are formidable. Shooting unusual characters, pigs, bushes etc. will yield extra weapons.MiscellaneousLicensed to Fabtek for US manufacture and distribution.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Common - There are 72 known instances of Cabal owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 11 of them are original dedicated machines, 7 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 54 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There are 2 VAPS members currently looking for Cabal. For Sale - There are 5 VAPS members with Cabal machines for sale. There is one VAPS member with an extra Cabal circuit board for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TechnicalThe joystick version is JAMMA (not sure about trackball version) and had a small module that fitted into a socket to allow the use of a joystick. Possibly the two versions are interchangeable by the use of this module. This game seems to have been produced in the early days of the JAMMA standard, and in order to get the third button, TAD used the TEST and SERVICE connectors to act as the inputs. Often there will be a wire soldered from these points to the now standard button 3 contact on the JAMMA edge connector.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Cabal Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by TAD Corporation.
