Game Introduction

This game is simuliar to Cruisi'n USA and Cruis'n World except that you race in different locations throughout the universe. One such location is the Atlantis track which is probably the first underwater racecourse offered in a video game. The Mars track might also be another first with its interplanetary race track. The game is slightly easier than its predecessors and uses Midway's Zeus 2 hardware.

Game Play

The object of the game is to race through twelve tracks spanning earth, underwater, and on Mars. There are newer cars and drivers including a clown and an alien (In Robotic Voice : "RIGHT ON DUDE!").

Cheats, Tricks, Bugs, and Easter Eggs

A free Game can be earned every 10000 miles if you have a personalized record. Like the San Francisco Rush series, shortcuts can be found on each track. Holding View 2 down during track selection reveals two hidden tracks.

FREE GAME If you double tap the accelerator after a game and the scores roll, during the option to enter more credits, you will add credits. Me and a Friend in a second machine were able to do this aprox. 5 times on each machine in a row and contiue racing each other without adding any quaters! I know this works on the machine were I am, but I'm not sure if it is a wiring glitch or a testing feature, please verify. I'm assuuming this comes from the ability in game to double tap the accelerator to do a wheelie and do flips off other cars.

Car selection cheat: by pressing the view buttons you can select between the available six cars add an aditional twelve cars (low view), the color of the car (chase view), and the person in the car (high view). If you cycle through this once you will see all the characters, on the second cycle their heads will be oversized (Clown, Baby, Blonde Lady, Guy with crew cut, etc., but not in that order).

Trivia

In the Las Vegas race, when you pass under the Elvis impersonater, he looks a bit like Nintendo's 1981 cash cow Donkey Kong in an Elvis suit. And you can also hear an Elvis Guitar Style rendition of the Donkey Kong theme for a few seconds. This was an addition by Nintendo and very few players catch this.
