Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix DescriptionA simon-says style music game, where you press the four buttons with your feet as arrows scroll up from the bottom of the screen.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThe cabinet features lights under the buttons that illuminate when pressed, neon flashing lights that flicker in tune to the music, as well as overhead multi-colored lighting to create a dance party feeling. Also on this version, the machine features Playstation memory card slots for exchanging data between the arcade and home versions of the game(s).Game IntroductionDo you have the rhythm? Then step up onto the stage and prove it! In this dancing game, move and groove to the music by stepping on the arrows as they scroll up the screen. Do well enough, and you progress to the next stage!Game PlayStart by selecting a song(this time, the songs are all divided into categories, to lessen the time selecting them), then the game begins. As the arrows reach the top of the screen, press the corresponding button(s) with your feet. The songs range from one foot (simple) (they are rated in feet instead of stars) up to nine, known as 'Catastrophic' songs, increasing in difficulty as far as speed (beats per min.) and are nearly impossible to finish without spending mass amounts of money or investing in any of the import home versions and dance mats! MiscellaneousKnown as Dancing Stage in Europe/the UK, where the world record for number of hours playing the game nonstop (around eight hours, according to Guinness World Records, 2001) is held.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Rare - According to a survey conducted by Video Arcade Preservation Society of approximately 910 collectors and their 20,000+ games, there are no known instances of this game owned by a known collector. This does not automatically mean that no examples exist, or even that only one or two machines exist. Wanted - There is one VAPS member currently looking for Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Konami.
