Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp DescriptionDaphne has been kidnapped by the evil wizard Mordroc and Dirk the Daring must rescue her! Travel through time and space in seven levels of twitch-action response to flashing on the screen. The laserdisc provides beautifully animated scenery.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThere are at least two cabinet versions. Both are nearly identical, but they have different lower front corners like the European version in the picture above. The European cabinet was made in Italy.Game PlayIn this game you direct Dirk towards the yellow flashes with the joystick and you press the button to have him use his sword whenever it flashes yellow. If you see a flashing treasure on parts of the game, have Dirk get that treasure. You must have him get all the treasures in order to advance to the final level. The game has seven levels that you must guide Dirk The Daring safely through to help him rescue his wife Daphne from Mordroc who will force Daphne to marry him unless her husband Dirk saves her.Descriptions of the levels are as follows:
VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYCommon - There are 36 known instances of Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 27 of them are original dedicated machines, it is a conversion in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 8 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There are 7 VAPS members currently looking for Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp. There is one VAPS member looking for a Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp circuit board set. For Sale - There is one VAPS member with a Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp machine for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TechnicalThe European version differs again (like Dragon's Lair and Space Ace) from the US version. It has a Philips VP380 arcade LD player which has RGB output, 220V and NTSC. There is no composite-to-RGB splitter board and the driver ROM is different.TriviaThe animation for this game was completed in 1984 but its release was put on hold due to the rapidly declining coin-op market of that era.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Leland.
