Gran Trak 10 DescriptionA single player race-against-the-clock game where the driver races around a track to accumulate points. The player's car is the only one on the track. This was one of the first video driving games.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThis machine weighs quite a bit. The brochure says 400 lbs!Game PlayThe player races against the clock to accumulate points for distance covered driving around a 2-D track. The car will spin out if it runs into the "pylons" (white blips) along the side of the road. There are also a few "oil slicks" (dark patches) on the course where the car's direction of travel cannot be manipulated. The vehicle must pass check points in order. When the timer reaches 0, the player can compare his score to a small chart on the machine for a play rating. Although the manual says that the controls accurately simulate a 'real automobile', the claim is not quite true. The car changes direction while the steering wheel is being turned. When you stop turning the steering wheel, the car continues straight in its current direction (not quite like a real car). VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYUncommon - There are 13 known instances of Gran Trak 10 owned by one of our 3,650 members who participate in our machine census project. Of these, 12 of them are original dedicated machines, and it is a set of circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There is one VAPS member currently looking for Gran Trak 10. For Sale - There is one VAPS member with a Gran Trak 10 machine for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaThe first driving video game. The first game to use ROM memory. The game PCB is interchangeable with Atari's LeMans game. The only difference between the two is the gear stick. Gran Trak 10 has a 3-speed with reverse while LeMans has a 4-speed.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Gran Trak 10 Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Atari.
