Trivia

Only one actual working Gridlee machine was ever produced and it is currently owned by Dale Luck. To preserve this piece of gaming history, the three co-founders of Videa (Howard Delman, Ed Rotberg, and Roger Hector) have provided images of the game's PROMs free for noncommercial use.

Videa was acquired by Pizza Time Theater and used to form Sente Technologies.

There are 14,717 members of the Video Arcade Preservation Society / Vintage Arcade Preservation Society, 9,455 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale. Census data currently includes 164,291 machines (6,886 unique titles).

Rare - There are 2 known instances of this machine owned by Gridlee collectors who are active members. Of these, It is an original dedicated machine (not another machine converted with a kit). One is a set of circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.

Wanted - No active members have added this machine to their wish list.

This game ranks a 1 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most often seen, 1=least common) in popularity based on census ownership records.

Rarity and Popularity independently are not necessarily indications of value. [More Information]

Technical

Gridlee runs on a 1.25MHz M6809 CPU and used analog circuitry for its sound. The board design for Gridlee would later be refined into the cartridge-based Bally/Sente SAC-I system.
