Mr. Do's Wild Ride DescriptionMr Do!, the clown, runs along a rollercoaster track, which loops around the screen, attempting to reach the goal. He must avoid on-coming cars moving down the track by climbing ladders. Pick up cherries and flags for additional bonuses. Played against the clock.Know anything more about this game? Game PlayThe usual Do-series cherries are present, but are not used in the same way as other games. Collecting them just changes the 'prize' found at the goal. The prize can be one or two letters from EXTRA, or other items which just score points. When you reach the Goal, Mr. Do waves the flag there while the bonus counter is added to his score. Mr. Do does not have his power ball in this game, holding the button makes Mr. Do run faster along the track, and his bonus points go down quicker. When you collect all the EXTRA letters, another Mr. Do is awarded. There do not seem to be any intermissions between levels as in Mr. Do. The first level is a circus roller coaster. The other screens retain the roller coaster track but can be identified by the different obstacles on-screen. Level 2, pirate ship. Level 3, three elevators. Level 4, castle on screen. Level 5, multiple columns. Level 6, six rings. After this the levels repeat.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYCommon - There are 33 known instances of Mr. Do's Wild Ride owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 3 of them are original dedicated machines, 5 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 25 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There is one VAPS member currently looking for Mr. Do's Wild Ride. For Sale - There are 0 VAPS members with extra Mr. Do's Wild Ride circuit boards for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TechnicalThe printed circuit board is marked 8339A. The EPROMs are labeled W1-W10. A swap of the EPROMs and color PROM will give the Universal game Kick Rider.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Mr. Do's Wild Ride Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Universal.
