Game Introduction

Shoot snow at monsters to turn them into snowballs. Press the fire button next to a snowball to kick it around the screen. Any monsters hit by a snowball are killed. If another snowball is hit, it too bounces around the screen. Collect potions for power ups.
  • Yellow = Long shot
  • Red = Speed up
  • Blue = "Big" snow (encases monsters quicker)
  • Green = Inflates you like a ballon and lets you fly around the screen killing any monsters you touch. May only appear at certain times.

During every 10th level, there is an end-of-level monster to be killed.

Killing all the monsters on a level with a single snowball causes money bonuses, worth 10,000 points, to fall down, but sometimes a glowing cake bonus will appear instead. When the cake is collected, the game stops and four blue snowball creatures appear for a short time. If these enemies are killed, they each provide a letter: "S","N","O" or "W". Collect all four of these letters for an extra life. The glowing cake can also appear at other times during the game.

Game Play

Very cute cartoon-like characters and animation and a nice sound track. Although a 1990 game it really has a feel of the earlier abstract games along the lines of Mr. Do!, etc.. Very similar in style to Bubble Bobble.

Miscellaneous

Licenced to Romstar for US manufacture and distribution.

VAPS Arcade Census

GAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETY

Very Common - There are 71 known instances of Snow Bros. - Nick & Tom owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, It is an original dedicated machine., 5 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 65 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.

Wanted - We currently do not know of any VAPS members that have gotten around to adding this game to their wish list. The wish-list system is fairly new (not all VAPS members have filled one out) and there are probably a number of collectors who might purchase this game if offered one at the right price. There is one VAPS member looking for a Snow Bros. - Nick & Tom circuit board set.

For Sale - There are 0 VAPS members with extra Snow Bros. - Nick & Tom circuit boards for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts.

Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range.

Technical

The entire PCB is only about 8 x 6 inches in size!
