VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYCommon - There are 31 known instances of Street Fighter Alpha 2 owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 2 of them are original dedicated machines, 4 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 25 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There is one VAPS member currently looking for Street Fighter Alpha 2. There is one VAPS member looking for a Street Fighter Alpha 2 circuit board set. For Sale - There is one VAPS member with a Street Fighter Alpha 2 machine for sale. There is one VAPS member with an extra Street Fighter Alpha 2 circuit board for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaMany characters from Final Fight make cameo appearences in this game, three of which are playable: Sodom, Guy and Rolento. One of the characters is called Nash in Japan, but his name was changed to Charlie for the US version. In Japan, the Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams games are called Street Fighter Zero and the Alpha Counters are called Zero Counters. An upgraded version of Street Fighter Alpha 2, called Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha, was released in Japan and a few places in Asia. The game has extra moves that were only available in the US "Alpha 2" version, certain characters from Street Fighter II' - Champion Edition along with a special version of Sakura. This version also has a Survival Mode and a Dramatic Battle Mode that pits two players against a computer controlled opponent. The character Evil Ryu comes from a Japanese Manga (comic book) based on Street Fighter Zero by Masahiko Nakahira, published in Gamest (a Japanese arcade-only video game magazine published by Shueisha that includes manga based on arcade games). eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Street Fighter Alpha 2 Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Capcom.
