Super Don Quixote DescriptionA witch steals your girlfriend, Isabella, and you, the heroic knight Don Quixote, must rescue her. You travel through odd rooms and outside scenes (all animated) with your mighty sword and your sidekick Sancho Panza (who does nothing) on your quest to kill the witch and rescue Isabella.Know anything more about this game? Game IntroductionThe idea for this animated laserdisc game comes from the movies and novels about Don Quixote, the legendary Spanish knight. In this game, the character looks very young and does not have a mustache. Also, he has a sword for a weapon and his faithful sidekick Sancho Panza follows him around although he does nothing to assist the hero.An assortment of mythical creatures including demons, dragons, skeletons and so on are encountered throughout the game. The game ends when Don Quixote kills the evil witch and rescues Isabella. Game PlayThe game play is very similar to Dragon's Lair.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYUncommon - There are 9 known instances of Super Don Quixote owned by one of our 3,650 members who participate in our machine census project. Of these, 2 of them are original dedicated machines, 3 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 4 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There are 2 VAPS members currently looking for Super Don Quixote. There is one VAPS member looking for a Super Don Quixote circuit board set. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector.
