Alpha 1 DescriptionYou (Major Havoc) must search out enemy space stations: defeat their space defenses, dock with the mothership and then destroy each robot infested mothership by setting off the reactor.Know anything more about this game? MiscellaneousPROTOTYPE OF: Major HavocVAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Rare - According to a survey conducted by Video Arcade Preservation Society of approximately collectors and their 20,000+ games, there are no known instances of this game owned by a known collector. This does not automatically mean that no examples exist, or even that only one or two machines exist. Wanted - There is one VAPS member currently looking for Alpha 1. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaThis title was an early prototype of the game Major Havoc. The game was originally called Tollian Web by the designer but this name was never really attached to the game outside of Atari. Apparently the name Alpha 1 was tacked onto the game for play testing. The titles of the game were as follows: Tollian Web -> Alpha 1 -> Rex Havoc -> Major HavoceBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Alpha 1 Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Atari.
