Game Introduction

Players bash enemy mecha/robots and proceed through different beautiful 2-D hand-drawn environments. The character and mecha designs are typical high Capcom design. As you defeat enemies pieces of their mech will break off. You can use these pieces to upgrade your own mech with new attacks, treads, drills, flamethrowers, etc. Items are also left to replenish health and gain points. Pushing multiple buttons together yields a powerful attack that drains your life bar slightly.

VAPS Arcade Census

GAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETY

Uncommon - There are 8 known instances of Armored Warriors owned by one of our 3,650 members who participate in our machine census project. Of these, 8 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.

Of the 59,771 machines (3,517 unique) tracked by the Video Game Preservation Society, this game ranks a 5 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most commonly seen, 1=least common) in popularity based on ownership records.

Wanted - We currently do not know of any VAPS members that have gotten around to adding this game to their wish list. The wish-list system is fairly new (not all VAPS members have filled one out) and there are probably a number of collectors who might purchase this game if offered one at the right price.

Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range.

Trivia

This game was released when Capcom was in their Street Fighter heyday. Not many Blue US B Boards (if any) were officially released. The main character is this game is named Rash in the US version, however, he actually is Jin from Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness in his familiar red Blodia mecha.

Fixes

A common problem with Capcom B Boards is that they appear to have staticy lines onscreen. This can be fixed by turning off the power and re-attaching the A and B Boards. Sometimes a small push on the B board in a downward motion (while playing) works as well.
