Killer Instinct DescriptionEach player fights against Ultratech. The final battle is against Eyedol. Two players can also compete against each other.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThe dedicated cabinet is solid black with a picture of Spinal on both sides.Cheats, Tricks and BugsTo play as EYEDOL: select Riptor, then hold Left+1+2+4; during the VS screen, but before the screen fades, hold Right+2+3+6. You should hear the game say "EYEDOL". To Enhance Combo Breakers, Hold Both Start Buttons Down and hold Both Joysticks in the "Down" Position. When you hear "COMBO BREAKER", Breakers will be easier to perform.Game IntroductionThis is a typical mid-1990's fighting game, but it has probably the best sound and graphics of the genre.Game PlayA tournament held by Ultratech soon turns to a battle for survival. Fighters from Agencies, Temples, Castles, Labs, and Outer Space converge with different vendettas and a common goal, Champion Of Ultratech. The Game introduced Performable combos, Featured Fatalities and Humiliations Like The Mortal Kombat Series, and the option to pull off multiple ULTRA COMBOS!!!MiscellaneousLICENSOR: NintendoDEVELOPER: Rareware DISTRIBUTOR: Midway VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Common - There are 70 known instances of Killer Instinct owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 37 of them are original dedicated machines, it is a conversion in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 32 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - Very Popular - There are 13 VAPS members currently looking for Killer Instinct. There are 2 VAPS members looking for Killer Instinct board sets. For Sale - There are 5 VAPS members with Killer Instinct machines for sale. There are 5 VAPS members with extra Killer Instinct circuit boards for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TechnicalCPU: R4600 RISC processorSOUND: ADSP2150 The game will come up with a blue screen and it will remain blue if the hard drive is missing. If the screen turns red, you will hear "DANGER!!!" This indicates that either the Hard Disk and/or a ROM may be corrupt. TriviaContrary to what some believe, Killer Instinct does not use a modified Midway T-Unit architecture. Instead of the TMS34010, an R4600 RISC processor was used for the main CPU. This game does use the DCS DSP for sound and music, though. It showcased Nintendo's promotion for the Nintendo 64 system as the ULTRA 64.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Killer Instinct Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Midway.
