Cabinet Information

The game is housed in a large, white two-piece cabinet. These cabinets originally came with cable ready sony trinitron tv sets and a video encoder instead of arcade monitors.

Conversion

This game was released as a conversion kit for Time Traveler since the laser disc players in the original games turned out to be unreliable.

Miscellaneous

This was the first fighting game to attempt a realistic depiction of a mixed-martial arts contest. The four fighting styles represented were well-researched and the fighters used authentic techniques taken from their real-life styles. This means that the fights were unflashy compared to other fighting games of the day: there were no fireballs, magic or outrageously acrobatic moves. The absence of backgrounds meant that the fighters were better drawn and more detailed than any other fighting game at the time.
