NFL Blitz '99 DescriptionPlayers choose an official NFL team, each with unique statistics, and compete in American football games with very few real-world rules. The object of the game is to try and win the Superbowl! This title uses the latest in 3DFX graphics.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationMost of the dedicated cabinets have a Nintendo 64 home console system "memory pack" slot on the side of the cabinet that allows you to bring your stats, secret plays and teams from home to compete against the arcade version.Cheats, Tricks and BugsAfter selecting a team, the player has 10 to 15 seconds to enter a secret code that activates abilities and functions of the game such as "no fumbles," "large football" or a multitude of other options, both good and bad. Also, entering certain initials and pin numbers at the start allows the player to play as a hidden character such as a member of the design team, Raiden from Mortal Kombat, or the Robot Brain from the William's classic Robotron!ConversionThis game is available in either a two- or four-player dedicated cabinet or as a conversion for the original NFL Blitz. The conversion kit consists of a new hard drive, marquee, control panel decals and some game EPROMs. The conversion uses the original NFL Blitz PCB.Game IntroductionThis game is largely an update to NFL Blitz. Its features include updated statistics, better graphics and new colorful language! This game is the spiritual sequel to William's (now Midway's) original High Impact Football, and features many elements that are common between the two games, such as player injuries and colorful announcers.Game PlayClassic video game football without all the annoying rules and regulations. 30-yard first downs, flying tackles, colorful (and sometimes censored) language and late hits are all part of the fun.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYCommon - There are 37 known instances of NFL Blitz '99 owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 12 of them are original dedicated machines, 13 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 12 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - We currently do not know of any VAPS members that have gotten around to adding this game to their wish list. The wish-list system is fairly new (not all VAPS members have filled one out) and there are probably a number of collectors who might purchase this game if offered one at the right price. For Sale - There are 2 VAPS members with NFL Blitz '99 machines for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaRegardless of the team you select to play the game, when you win the Superbowl, the football player, shown standing on a mountain at the top of the world with the cheeleader, is always wearing a Green Bay Packers uniform.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the NFL Blitz '99 Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Midway.
