The Simpsons Description4-player co-op game where players assume the roles of Homer, Marge, Bart, or Lisa Simpson. Goal: save Maggie and recover the stolen diamond.Know anything more about this game? Cabinet InformationThe side art shows The Simpsons standing on top of each other. Homer is actually stepping on Snowball's tail.On the European cabinet, the graphic shows the five Simpsons in a pink circle with the Simpsons logo. The cabinet is white except for the control panel which is blue with the Simpson character next to his or her control. The game was also released in a two-player cabinet. Cheats, Tricks and BugsIf you want lots of enemies on the screen, change the game settings using the test button on the board, then select very difficult. Get four people to play and there will be loads of baddies! This trick works on most Konami JAMMA+ games such as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, X-MEN, Asterix and Bucky O'HareConversionThe machine can run just about any JAMMA+ game. However, the third and fourth player controls in the four-player cabinet must have a compatible PCB to use the exact same wiring. Games like Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and Bucky O'Hare match this criteria.Game IntroductionEach player character has a different weapon that can be used throughout the game. Bart uses his skateboard, Lisa uses her jumprope, Marge uses her vacuum cleaner and Homer uses his fists and his big fat belly.Game PlayYou move level to level fighting your way through loads of Mr. Burn's hired goons. At the end of each stage you must fight an end-of-level guardian. Each of these are bigger and bulkier than the others.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Common - There are 71 known instances of The Simpsons owned by one of our 900 members. Wanted - Very Popular - There are 27 VAPS members currently looking for The Simpsons. There are 7 VAPS members looking for The Simpsons board sets. For Sale - There are 5 VAPS members with The Simpsons machines for sale. There are 5 VAPS members with extra The Simpsons circuit boards for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range.
